Pluto's Epic Journey: What this twenty year transit means for you & if it is even real...

Last week we talked about Pluto’s transition into Aquarius. This week we will go celestial body by celestial body to discover how this will effect you.

I’ll go one by one and explain how Pluto in Aquarius will effect you depending on what planets (if any) you have in Aquarius. These conjunctions will play out over the next 25ish years. If you are unsure of your placements or how to find your Pluto in Aquarius conjunctions for the upcoming decades. If you have not read last week’s post, read that one first.

Astronomy Aside

I want to acknowledge that Pluto’s ingress into Aquarius is based off of the tropical system for tracking time using the 12 constellations that halo our sky. There are two main tracking systems: tropical and sidereal. When the systems were developed they were relatively similar both start the calendar at 0 degrees Aries. However, tropical astrology does not account for the earth’s precession that occurs each year, altering the time when the spring equinox occurs. Since sidereal records a day on earth at 23hrs 56 min and 4 sec and tropical records a day at exactly 24 hours. This is the key difference: sidereal tracks time exactly, tropical approximately. The approximation of time records vs. actual movement of earth has resulted in large discrepancies since the tracking began.
If you’re into astrology, you may have heard debates about these algorithms calling sidereal systems True Sky. This implies that the measurements of the solar system is wrong or not true. At first glance the discrepancies alert us that perhaps these systems are wrong… that tropical or sidereal may not be correct. I was on the team of tropical being less accurate but I was unaware of this important point: parallax caused by the cosmic distance ladder used to measure extragalactic distances.
We cannot know for sure exactly where the location of stars are because our perception here on earth is distorted. Distorted by curvatures, light, motion, and other physical effects. Our view from earth is limited and not at all direct. This indicates that depending on where we are on the globe we will see differing viewpoints of the stars or experience different seasons. It’s summer right now in New Zealand. That isn’t not true simply because it’s the middle of polar night in Svalbard.
What this tells me is that until science and extragalactic measurements, documentation devices, cameras, etc. our limited scope here on earth cannot know with 100% certainty that the measurement of the stars is more or less correct in one system or another. It tells me that to hold both algorithms, their discrepancies, their various truths or non-truths, is the wisest choice we can make. I was wrong to assume that tropical was entirely inaccurate because I failed to investigate.

Thus both are true: Pluto has ingressed into Aquarius and Pluto has ingressed into Capricorn (as of December 2023).

Pluto in Aquarius Conjunction Interpretations ✨🌌

These interpretations are based off conjunctions which are one of the five major aspects in astrology. Conjunctions represent a merging between two planets causing them to vibrate as a couple. Their relationship is the most intimate.

As Pluto brings us ceremonies and initiations for metamorphosis, the planets that Pluto conjoins with in your birth chart will be the keys to deciphering what area of life you will be most transformed. These areas will be where we can express and understand our power, our ability to enact change, and our purpose in the coming revolutions. Check your birth chart here to find your conjunctions. This transit will fuel us all to explore our personal power and see how much power we can gain over others but this will be more heightened for Aquarian Suns. Pluto will also bring in systems or people who may try to manipulate and find power over you.
