This is an open letter to the witches in the woods—a paid subscriber letter that carries an invitation to explore the musings of my own journey in witchcraft. As witchcraft, astrology, somatics, mysticism, and the roles of the seer, visionary, and artist are often marginalized and pushed to the fringes, let this serve as a reminder: we belong to one another and are intrinsically woven into the fabric of the universe itself. May this letter find its’ way to your metaphorical doorstep. And if you’re looking for a gift for the stellar witch in your life consider offering her a study session with me.

The Mugwort Seer by Erica Peebus Art

I have been invited to join a container created by a friend-mentor or a mentor-friend. In a call discussing the means in which to join she said, “I believe if this is meant for you the universe will organize your life to make it so…” or something to this effect. It clarified for me that I want the universe to organize to make it so and I suddenly became widely attached to the idea and looking for it to happen. Quantum physicists, astrologers, and nature photographers all say that when you start to observe an atom, the stars, or a puma they change in response to the viewership. Their true nature is not observable because once you begin to pay attention it cannot be the way it was.

My mind clung to this idea for a day, “are they orchestrating my life the way I want.” How micro-managey of me I thought. I tried to let go. To get my mind to remember that magic can not freely express herself when I am watching. I’ve been volunteering at a mutual aid farm stand where I used to wait in line for free food. Now I volunteer for free food. I will be writing about this experience soon and the relationship between mutual aid and manifestation.
